Why is Manuka known as the "golden" honey???

Manuka honey is famous for being denser and richer in nutrients than any other honey in the world. Manuka honey is densified by bees from the nectar of the flower Leptospermum scoparium - also known as Manuka flower, which is unique to New Zealand. This is a rare flower that makes Manuka honey rare and accounts for only 1% of honey worldwide.
Manuka is probably the only honey in the world that must pass laboratory tests before being sold in stores and supermarkets.
Manuka honey also has high antibacterial properties and contains many nutrients good for health. Especially, it is also used as a beauty product for women with antioxidant and anti-acne inflammatory effects.
While normal honey usually has a sweet taste, mild aroma, Manuka honey has a dark yellow-brown color, with a pungent smell like tobacco. The reason is because Manuka honey has not gone through any processing, so it still contains pollen and propolis.
In its purest form, Manuka honey costs up to $99 per 100 grams. This price is 100 times more expensive than normal honey. In 2008, science discovered the amazing uses that made Manuka the best honey known around the world.
Currently, the export value of New Zealand's Manuka honey is about 200 million USD per year (more than 4000 billion VND) and is expected to increase 4 times by 2028.
